5 Designer Handbags You Should Splurge On

“The best things in life are free. The second best are very expensive.” – Coco Chanel

When I was about 14 years old, I started earning my own my money by babysitting and that was $60 every two weeks. As a teenager, I thought that $60 was a lot of money considering I could spend it on whatever I wanted to but of course I didn’t pay attention to the value of a dollar. I bought a new pair of Ralph Lauren jeans that were probably a little over $60 and my mom was really upset with me because I used up all of my money on one pair of jeans. She said to me “I don’t know where you get that expensive taste from, but it is going to make you become broke very quickly”. Of course, I didn’t pay her any attention at first but as I got older, I realized that you cannot spend money that way and started being more careful of how I spent money on clothes because as we all know…..the receipts will add up quickly.

However, I wouldn’t say that there is anything wrong with purchasing expensive items if you are prepared for it. I am currently creating a separate account for designer handbags so that I can indulge in those splurges sometimes. Now you might ask why? Well, I have bought handbags that were substantially cheaper in which they end up falling apart after a short period of time. Needless to say, investing in designer handbags is a costly expense but the benefit definitely outweighs the cost. If there is something that you really want and you have saved for it, by all means treat yourself.

Below are 5 designer handbags that I would buy personally for myself. These styles are always rotating in and out throughout the years, so the handbags are seemingly timeless and classic. The price of each handbag is roughly $1500+ and they will retain good quality for years to come if that helps you get over the sticker shock lol.
